Gerren at Generation Custom Drums in K-Zoo MI used one of these to support a 20" kick drum he made. He had to do some tweeking to make the cradle fit his drum just right. He had to shorten it's length by cutting and welding the center post and he removed one pair of grab arms and cut a indentation in the wooden end to accomadate a tension rod. The only design improvement I would like to see would be to cap the grab arms. The rubber on the tip sometimes slides down leaving bare metal ends that scuff the drum. This cradle holds the drum very solidly (is that a word?). I use it with DW5000 BD pedal with the spurs extended and it doesn't creep on me at all.
This cradle works very well.
