GMS Drum Co. has introduced a new series of drums featuring the unique sound of North American hard white ash. GMS worked closely with American drum shell manufacturer Keller to develop these 8-ply 100% ash shells. Enhanced with Keller's proprietary VSS technology, they are available exclusively on GMS Grand Master Series and Special Edition (SE) Series drums.
GMS bearing edges utilize a 45-degree cut on the inside of the shell and a shallow 45-degree counter cut on the outside. The throw-off and butt system was designed to be simple, trouble free, and effective. The snare drum features 20 strand heat treated high carbon steel snare wire. Hoops are 2.3mm steel triple flanged. This drum will ship with an Evans coated G1 top, and 300 gauge snare
