Special Edition drums are made up of select 8-ply North American Maple. Enhanced with Keller's proprietary VSS™ technology, they are available exclusively on GMS Grand Master Series and Special Edition (SE) Series drums.
GMS bearing edges utilize a 45-degree cut on the inside of the shell and a shallow 45-degree counter cut on the outside. The throw-off and butt system was designed to be simple, trouble free, and effective. The snare drum features 20 strand heat treated high carbon steel snare wire. Hoops are 2.3mm steel triple flanged. This drum will ship with an Evans coated G1 top, and 300 gauge snare
