GMS 6.5x13 Cocobolo Solid Shell Snare Drum. Color: "Natural Oil"
One of the true tropical rosewoods, Cocobolo is a very beautiful wood, ranging from a beautiful rich dark brick red, to reddish or dark brown, with a figuring of darker irregular traces weaving through the wood. It is fine textured and oily in look and feel. The wood has excellent working characteristics and the natural oils give the wood a natural luster.
GMS bearing edges utilize a 45-degree cut on the inside of the shell and a shallow 45-degree counter cut on the outside. The throw-off and butt system was designed to be simple, trouble free, and effective. The snare drum features 20 strand heat treated high carbon steel snare wire. Hoops are 2.3mm steel triple flanged. This drum will ship with an Evans coated G1 top, and 300 gauge snare
