At moderate volumes these cymbals are crisp and tight with sticks and extremely articulate with brushes. When played half-opened the hi-hats breathe a thick blanket of sound. When closed the chick is warm and silvery. Half- lathed bell areas and unlathed bottoms (on both cymbals) give these hi-hats a striking appearance along with unparalleled musicality.
