Please feel free to e-mail us at sales@indoorstorm.com with any questions on the guitar.

The back story: A friend of the store called and informed us a friend had this guitar he was looking to sell. His grandfather bought it NEW off of the rack at Music Incorporated in Charlotte, NC in April of 1957. It was toured a couple of times, but was mostly stored in it's case. The guitar was handed down in the family, and has been in it's case probably since the 80's. It is now up for sale. The original sales receipt is included with the guitar!

The guitar is in amazing condition, especially considering it is 55 Years old. The guitar is like a time capsule. There are a ton of pictures below. The guitar is marked "6-56" on the end of the neck, and "7-56" under the pickup. The neck is in excellent condition, and is 100% healthy. It is set up with just a slight amount of relief. There is light fret wear in the lower open positions. There is plenty of fret life left on this one. The graining of the neck is very straight, and about 35 degrees off of Quarter Sawn.

The finish is a Rare Walnut Brown stain, not typically seen in this guitar. This was offered from Fender at a 5% upchare in 1956. It has been inspected (and fully photo'd below) so you can rest assured that this is the original finish. The dates written on the inside of the bridge pickup cavity more than confirms this!

The pickups, pots, and all of the wiring (including the caps and such) are all 100% original. The guitar will also include the bridge cover, and the original strap that came with the guitar. Also included is a polishing cloth that was purchased with the guitar.

The guitar weighs in at only 6.6lbs!

Pickup Specs:

Bridge Pickup: 5.85K
South Out Polarity
42 AWG Wire Gauge
47 Gauss magnetic Strength (which indicates it would likely be Alnico V)

Neck Pickup: 6.73K
South Out Polarity
43 AWG Wire Gauge
35 Gauss magnetic Strength

The case is the original case as well, with the "US Koylon Foam" patch on the inside of the case. The case looks like it got some water staining at some point in it's life, but it didn't affect the integrity of the case, and there is no indication that the guitar was in the case at the time.

There are TONS of photos below so you can see all for yourself. This is one of those instruments that surfaces once in a lifetime! It is an absolute Gem.

Now, if that wasn't awesome enough, here is the amplifier!

Super Clean, and awesome Vibrolux. It comes with it's original Victoria Luggage Company Amp cover AND the hang tag!!! Loaded with the original Jensen Special Design speaker. It also has the wooden foot switch, that is still taped together as it shipped from the factory. No tearing, or pulling up on the Tweed, it has a few stains and nicks here and there, but considering it's age, it is in amazing shape. The amp fires up, and plays. The Vibrato works, and the footswtich works. The tubes have age, as well as the caps. It will need a good once over from a tech to determine what it needs, but as it stands now, she is 100% original. Many many photos below of the amplifier.
